ABOUT MR HAPPY CHAINSAW
Mr Happy Chainsaw are a 4 piece pop punk rock band from Essex who were formed in early 2004.
Over the years Mr Happy Chainsaw have taken their catchy rock music all over the UK playing with some of the best UK bands of old and new with likes of The Vibrators, UK Subs, Madness, TAT, New Town Kings, My Awesome Compilation, Koopa, We Are The Ocean, INME and Enter Shikari all having shared a stage with the Essex quartet.
After 5 years of gigging, recording numerous CDs, winning Colchester Battle of The Bands and playing 100's of gigs Mr Happy Chainsaw went on hiatus in 2009 due to personal reasons.
7 years, 1 marriage, 2 university degrees, extensive travelling around the world and a child later, Martin, Scott and Chris were in the right place at the right time and 2016 saw the return of Mr Happy Chainsaw.
After finding their feet again in 2016 with several gigs Mr Happy Chainsaw took to the studio in December 2016 to record their comeback EP "It's Not My Ball". "It's Not My Ball" combines a few songs that had started to written before the band broke up 2009 but have been reworked and rearranged, combined with a few brand new tracks to bring the true essence and feel of classic Pop Punk but with a tongue in cheek humour and Essex twist.
Due to changes in drumming personel Mr Happy Chainsaw decided to release a track from the EP "Standing There" as single to help build momentum before the release of "It's Not My Ball" in June 2017 while they recruited a new drummer. Steve Tarry was this drummer, who joined the band in March 2017.
Mr Happy Chainsaw's single "Standing There" has gained local, national and international airplay, earnt the band the opportunity to appear on various radio shows in a live performance and interview capacity, seen the band be booked to perform at various summer festivals and secure regular local and national dates for the rest of 2017.
